I turned professional in 1998 at my local club – Greenock, after spending a 6 months there I moved to Largs GC with professional Kenny Docherty. I learned my trade here and was also pushed to work hard on my game, leading to winning the Scottish Assistants OOM in 2004. This enabled me to play full time for the next few years, I enjoyed this time spent mainly on the Tartan Tour and did manage a couple of Pro-am wins. In 2007 I accepted my 1st Head Professional post at Gourock GC, finding a club closer to home and now married to Gillian my new role commenced.
