Tim became Club Professional in 1994 to be there for the opening of the new ten holes making Newton Green into a testing 18 hole golf course.
Tim started golf at the age of 14 and joined the Junior section at Stoke By Nayland Golf Club and by the age of 17 achieved a handicap of 3.
Tim was a Qualified PGA Professional at the age of 20 after passing his PGA exams and continued working as Head Assistant with Kevin Lovelock at Stoke By Nayland. During his time at Stoke Tim helped out at Newton Green Golf Club a couple of days a week and then joined the club full time in 1994. Then in 1997 took over the golf shop business and became the full Club Professional at Newton Green Golf Club.
