This Privacy Policy applies to any “personal data” (as defined in applicable data privacy laws, including the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) provided or collected through this website fibodo.com and the fibodo mobile app (together “our Site”). The organisation with responsibility for this Privacy Policy is fibodo Limited ("fibodo", "we", "our", "us"). We are a data controller in relation to the collection and use of your personal data.

2. What personal data we collect from you

We collect personal data from visitors to and Users of our Site, and from recipients of booking confirmations. We receive and store any personal data you enter, through our Site or give us in any other way, for example by emailing us. This includes personal data that can identify you, including:

• your first and last name,
• email addresses,
• locations at any time if you agree to our Site gathering your geo-location data through your phone,
• your gender and year of birth,
• details of any disability you might have only if needed by the host,
• billing information (such as credit card number and expiration date, cardholder name, and registered postal address),
• messages sent through the fibodo messaging system.

We also automatically collect some data about your device when you visit our Site. For example, we will collect your IP address, the web browser software used (such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer), the type of device (such as a smartphone or a tablet), and referring website.

3. How we use your personal data

We use billing information (such as cardholder name, credit card number, and expiration date) for the purpose of completing the bookings you make on our Site. 
We use other personal data for the following purposes:

• to provide you with the services you request;
• to provide you with your booking confirmation and updates;
• to manage your account, and provide network notifications;
• to communicate with you in general in relation to our Site;
• to respond to your questions and comments;
• to measure interest in and improve our services, and our Site;
• to otherwise customize your experience with this our Site;
• to provide you with the fibodo messaging system;
• to prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities; and
• to enforce our Terms of Use.

To further our legitimate interest of marketing to our existing customer base, we may provide relevant marketing to you within the scope of the relevant services you are using. We will only send you marketing messages outside of the use of the services if you indicate that you consent (e.g. by “opting-in”) to receiving such messages. To stop receiving marketing communications from us, you can use the ‘unsubscribe’, ‘stop’ or similar facility contained in any such communication or you can email us at the email address set out in “How you can contact us” below stating that you do not wish to receive further communications from us.

4. With whom we share your personal data

We will share your personal data with Hosts for the purpose of their providing services to you and with persons who provide services or functions on our behalf for the purposes of administering our site and/or the host services. If you are a fibodo Host (activity organiser) and you have listed an accreditation on your profile, we reserve the right to contact the accrediting organisation you named to verify your details.

We also may share your personal data:

• In response to court orders, or other legal process; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law.
• When we believe it is appropriate to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities; to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of our company or this website, our users, or others; and in connection with our Terms of Service and other agreements.
• In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.

Other than as set out above, you will be asked to provide your consent to the sharing of your personal data with third parties.

We also may share aggregate or anonymous information with third parties, including fibodo activity hub owners, event providers and investors. For example, we may tell an activity hub owner the number of people who attended a particular event (who are members of the same activity hub) or the most popular activities across various age groups within the activity hub. This information does not contain any personal data and will be used for research purposes only.

5. We have adopted strict security processes, in accordance with good industry practice, to prevent the unauthorised access to, or disclosure of, your personal data. Notwithstanding our implementation of these policies, please note that we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you send to us.

We may transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”) when we are required to provide your personal data to our clients and service providers who are located in countries outside of the EEA. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy, including ensuring that adequate protections are in place in respect of the processing of such data outside of the EEA.

We will retain your personal data on our systems only for as long as is strictly necessary for the purposes for which such data was originally collected (or for such longer period as may be required by law, including in connection with any tax obligations).

You can close your account by contacting us at the email address listed below. Please note that after you close an account, you will not be able to sign in or access any of your personal data. However, you can open a new account at any time. Please also note that we may retain certain information associated with your account, including for analytical purposes as well as for recordkeeping integrity, subject to the restrictions mentioned in the paragraphs above. If you do not hold an account with us or wish to contact us in relation to any personal data that is not displayed in your account you may ask us to access, erase, correct, transfer and/or modify the information that we hold about you by emailing us at the email address listed below. Where you have provided your consent to our processing activities, you may also withdraw your consent at any time (but please note we may continue to process such personal data if we have legitimate legal grounds to do so).
