On this full-day beginners sewing workshop, you will first learn how to use and troubleshoot a sewing machine with more confidence and make your very own bag.

Then off to the formal dining room for a lovely luncheon with wine.

You will then make a beautiful cotton shoulder bag complete with lining, pockets and even a small drawstring pouch. All using exquisite fabrics of your choosing from Lauren's contemporary collection

Lauren will guide you through the whole process, showing you how to thread and use the machine and construct your bags. You’ll be given all the materials with detailed instructions on how to sew your bags and Lauren will provide plenty of tips and tricks on sewing techniques for you to use in future projects.

This workshop is a great way to start your sewing journey and you’ll leave with new-found knowledge, confidence and inspiration for future projects plus you’ll take home two beautiful, professionally made items you can enjoy for years to come.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
Designer and Maker Lauren Holloway ( www.laurenholloway.uk ) has been running her own slow-fashion handbag and accessory brand since 2013. Lauren specialises in making sustainable bags, purses, laptop cases and toiletry storage, all handcrafted in her Bristol-based studio. She has extensive knowledge and experience in designing patterns and sewing anything from coin purses to backpacks. You’ll leave the workshop with new-found knowledge and inspiration for future projects plus you’ll take home a beautiful handmade bag you can enjoy for years to come

We are providing machines, but of course you can, just let us know so we can accommodate.

Would you like to bring a guest with you?
No problem. Once you have booked yourself, go back into your account and in the top right go to "manage account" Here you can "add a family member". Now you will be able to book and pay for them.
